Mito-GOLD®

GeroNova's premium softgel, MITO-GOLD®, contains R-lipoic acid (RLA) and its reduced form, R-dihydrolipoic acid (R-DHLA) and annatto tocotrienols, in an effective, mitochondrially targeted formula

Tocotrienols

Tocotrienols possess powerful cholesterol-lowering and heart-supporting properties not exhibited by tocopherols. The annatto tocotrienols in MITO-GOLD® are tocopherol free, which can reduce tocotrienol effectiveness. The vitamin E in MITO-GOLD® produces recognized support for the heart and entire vascular system.

Annatto Tocotrienols

Annatto Tocotrienols are the natural source of gamma- and delta-tocotrienols, the most effective and active form of vitamin E. Delta-tocotrienol is a potent, fat soluble powerful anti-oxidant that surpasses all other forms of vitamin E in maintaining the health of the cardiovascular system.

Annatto Tocotrienols can help with premature aging and support the maintenance of healthy blood glucose levels, as well as levels of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), an indicator of long term blood sugar control.

This form of Vitamin E can sustain healthy cholesterol balance and blood pressure levels, combating arterial plaque have a powerful effect on the reduction of triglycerides.

RLA/R-DHLA

Evidence suggests that R-lipoic acid is actually a low-level stressor that turns on the basic cellular defenses of the body, including some of those that naturally decline with age. In particular, it tends to restore levels of glutathione, a protective antioxidant and detoxification compound. With age, glutathione levels naturally decline, making us more susceptible to both free radicals and other environmental toxins.

R-lipoic acid also acts as a strong anti-inflammatory agent, which is relevant to many degenerative diseases. R-lipoic acid appears to help restore a cellular 'signaling' process that tends to break down in older blood vessels. It reduces mitochondrial decay in cells, which is closely linked to the symptoms of aging.
